Swimming Pool

The pool is situated right beside the lake so you can enjoy the views.  Relax by the pool on our sun loungers, or sip a cold drink in the entertainment area beside the pool.  Behind the pool are two cottages Honeymoon Bay and The Cottage, jointly known as The Pool House.   These cottages inter-connect so you can rent either one, or both together.

Entertainment Area

The entertainment area is a great place for couples to relax, or for family and friends to get together.  The outdoor kitchen has a BBQ, wood-fired pizza oven, full fridge, crockery and cutlery.    Please give us 48 hours notice if you wish to use the wood-fired pizza oven, as it must be lit in advance to provide the perfect cooking temperatures for your pizza.

Don't miss the opportunity to experience our sauna with a view.  Afterwards you can cool off in our outdoor shower.  Enjoy the many health benefits a sauna has to offer while soaking up the views of the lake and mountains

Tennis Court

Anyone for tennis?   You will be playing like a pro in our Wimbeldon sized tennis court.  Impress the audience, our resident koala loves to watch the game.

Rackets and balls are provided

Scenic walks

The scenery at Samford Lakes is unbelieveable.  We could devote an entire website to the stunning images we have captured over the years but we will let you explore the 35 acre property and discover our secrets for yourself.

Farm animals and wild life

An abundance of birds frequent the lake, which is also home to some black swans.  We have cows on the property and sometimes a few calves.  If you are lucky you may be able to treat yourself to a freshly laid egg for breakfast from our chickens.  We have a koala who makes an appearance now and again - he likes to watch the tennis.
And of course well behaved pets are welcome at Samford Lakes

There's lots to do for young and old in and around the Samford area.

Bush walkers are spoiled for choice, explore Samford Forest Reserve and Bunyaville Forest Reserve, home to the spotted gum found only in the Brisbane area. Enjoy the walking tracks of Brisbane Forest Park, or have a leisurely bbq Jolly’s Lookout, with it beautiful views over Samford Valley to Moreton Bay. On a clear day you can see across the D’Aguilar Range to the Glass House Mountains. From here, you can take a scenic drive along Northbrook parkways and enjoy the views of the mighty Wivenhoe Dam.  Or simply step out the front door and explore our 40 acres of farmland

Swimming:  Cool off in the natural swimming holes at nearby Cedar Creek, marvel at the waterfalls and crystal clear rock pools.  Or take a dip in our olympic sized swimming pool.

Touring:  A short drive will bring you to Mount Nebo, or follow the steep winding road to Mt Glorious, a favourite with motorcyclists, who weave their way up and down the mountain each weekend. Have breakfast or lunch at one of the local cafes.  Explore Dayboro and Mount Mee Forest Reserve.
